Decorating the Christmas tree every year sure can stir up past holiday memories.
Do you have the same experience when you open up each of your ornaments? It amazes me as I unwrap them, no matter how many years go by, I can still feel the joy of different Christmas celebrations.
If your tree ornaments are anything like mine, many of them hold fond memories and events that they hold meanings for. Today I am sharing one of my favorites with you. It was the first time my grandson and I decorated an ornament. Even though it wasn't that many years ago, it seems like it was just yesterday.
"Snowmen Ornaments"

These snowmen were made by my grandsons hand print when he was 4 years old. We had so much fun making them, and I can still hear his giggles in my head. He thought that it was the funniest thing ever.
To make: Simply use white acrylic paint that you can find at any local craft store.
1. Place some on a paper plate and add a tiny bit of water to make it more fluid.
2. Have your child place their hand flat and firmly on the paper plate to cover the hand with the paint.
3. Have an adult place the ornament in the palm of the child's open hand. Then have them carefully wrap their fingers up and around the ornament. (like grasping a ball)
4. Have them release the ornament and place it on a rack to dry.
5. When dry you can finish decorating with various paint colors to finish your eyes and buttons. You can even add pine trees and stars or whatever you like.
6. Be sure to add the child's initials or name and date your special Christmas ornament
