Today I saw this little girl Ashia aged 10 around the city center of Abuja Nigeria selling groundnut on a tray estimated to be less than #1000 ($4) which according to her that is her daily contribution to the family
Aisha is left vulnerable to rape, kidnappers or even can get knocked down by reckless driver in the busy city of the nation capital. At her age Aisha is expected to be in school studying to become a better person for herself, family and the country at large
The government claims to have spent a huge sum of amount reported to be #13 billion on a monthly basis on feeding the Nigeria children in school, now how can you explain the case of Ashia ?
This thought keep running through me that what if the N13billion is been invested on building industries or a factories will this not employ this poor girl patent which will keep her off the streets and get the quality education she deserves? And provide a better life for Ashia and her family ?
Questions begging for answers
Over 10million of people like Ashia that the Nigerian federal government has once again failed because of the lack of good economic policies that they have created over the years with the oil wealth the most black populous nation is enjoying!
