Hi everyone!
My name is Ellie Guzman and I love writing, science, and comedy. Oh and wine. Oh and Hot Cheetos. Oh and anaphora.
My plans for Steemit are to post pieces that are funny, interesting, and entertaining. I'm excited to post about cool healthcare things like unique diseases and groundbreaking research in a language that's accessible to everyone, regardless of what their background is. I have a pretty diverse range of interests (I do standup comedy but I also work in an ER so my mind is a tad allovertheplace) and I'm happy to find a community that encourages its members regardless of what they're interested in. I also want to post pieces about being a woman of color, finding the perfect cheap gas station wine, and other millennial nonsense.

Some quick facts about me:
- I went to USC (shoutout to financial aid) and graduated Dec. 2015
- I studied Human Biology in college and know too much about primates
- I took a bartending class online and, yes, it was 100% worth it
- I'm exactly five feet tall
- I live in Los Angeles and I love it
- I have one sister and a dog who is VERY cute and also I suspect that he is evil
- I do bootcamp class a few times a week to compensate for that whole "five feet tall" thing
- I know how to knit
- The 50 minute commute to my job is very slowly driving me bananas
- I epically suck at cooking, it's the worst
- I'm Latina and my family is from El Salvador
- I have too much time on my hands and am stoked to write and get to know all of you! Yay!
