Hi, I'm Kenny from YouTubeStars.

These early days of Steemit remind me of the early days of YouTube. So much potential!

It feels like 2005 all over again. That's when I first found YouTube. I was amazed that I could sit in my room and watch people talk to me from all over the world. People talked about their lives, and showed us their lives. I got to know some members of the early small and close-knit YouTube community and started writing and blogging about
YouTube. 10+ years later, over 300 posts are on the blog, written by me and some paid guest bloggers. Nothing too insightful, just a way to promote videos we thought were worth watching, for one reason or another.

To me, it feels like Steemit is the start of something big, again. I can see that there is a community developing here. People reply to posts and comments. There is a discussion going on. No one really knows where we are headed, but we're excited to be along for the ride! Some of us saw what happened to YouTube over time. A large community is not like a small one, which is just the way it is. Sometimes people blow up on social media sites and put more time into building their new career rather than trying to stay close with their original circle of friends and supporters. That's the way it is, and people should try and turn their passion into a means of making a living if they so choose.

I'm here for the thrill of 2005 all over again. I'll be watching the community grow, and will post a bit to see if there's any interest in things I'd like to write about. You never know unless you try. I'm interested in a lot of things, such as music, gaming, racquetball, working out, healthy living, programming, Bitcoin, Ether, politics, religion, sociology and more. I have found many interesting articles so far, and the people here seem to be a great group!

I believe in having multiple streams of income, so I'll be interested to see if Steem can be a stream for me, and others. I have joined @steemservices "Retweet to earn Steam Power" campaign (see here). I have been an avid upvoter when I find an article here I like. I found @pfunk article on Mining in a Virtual Machine, here, and now I an mining at about 6000 hashes per second.

I'm excited to be here! Steemit has so much potential. I'm glad to be part of this community and I can't wait to see what you all do here!
