I'm Shairah Dela Cerna Arindig -- 21, Licensed Mining Engineer, Violin/Guitar/Piano and Ukulele Enthusiast, risk taker, pet lover, and a rakitera for years!
ABOUT ME
One sunny morning dated back in August 8, 1996, a healthy baby girl was born. She was a gift to consider not until a dreary day came! She was left with her elder siblings and there she started her life full of chaos!
My mind was opened to working and earning to sustain my educational fees as young as 10 y/o. With the help of so many generous people, I was able to graduate from high school with honors. Then college came! Sleepless nights, expensive school fees plus tuition fee and personal struggle which really made my college life journey tough and exciting. I worked in several call center companies in cebu to be able to take exams. I spent those I call giving-up-hours to be a tutor to some elementary students in our campus. I also sell piyaya for my additional financial needs. It was those times when I met, Nikka (@nikkabomb) who became one of my few true friends. She has undergone too many struggles you never thought would happen in real life. And she has made my college journey a bit easy; with her vibrant and strong personality, I was able to surpass the hurdles of life.
Since I was a kid, I was drawn to music. It calms my mind, giggles my heart and comforts my soul. The sound of the wind chime at an old two-story house owned by my grandparents used to pacify my lonely aching childhood memory. Music has always been my number one fan, best friend and loyal comrade. So when I grew up, I tried different instruments mostly the stringed ones. And now, I find myself hooked to music and any musical instruments.
I also love adventures. There are several times in which I tried skating just to learn the balance and get used to the temperature as I am planning to go to Canada anytime soon. hehehe.
I also enjoy nature hiking. Both the journey and the destination thrill me the most!
And the recent visit to Papa Kit's with @nikkabomb and our squad is by so far my most unforgettable experience!
I'm really just an easy-to-bond-with type of person. So I'm really excited to see more of what this platform can offer, make friends and grow with what I have started now. YEY!
WHAT CAN I CONTRIBUTE
With this broad platform with so many exceptional writers and a number of topics, I guess I can narrow down my contributions as listed below:
- Inspirational blogs for struggling students. With my experience as a working student and as a rakitera, I hope it can reach the rightful audience to boost their confidence and inspire them to reach and realize their dreams.
- Tutorial blogs for musical instruments. With my acquired knowledge and skills in stringed instruments, I would love to share my God-given talents.
