This is my entry for the iTalent Season 2.
It's a very popular piece for the clasical guitar written in 1970 by British composer Stanley Myers written for the film The Walking Stick(1970), and popularised as the theme from The Deer Hunter some eight years later.
The piece had been recorded by the great classical guitarist John Williams, long before the film that made it famous. It had originally been written for piano, but at Williams' invitation Myers re-wrote it for guitar and expanded it.
I recorded this piece specially for this competiton and would like to dedicate it to @ivan.atman and to all the participants of Season1 and Season 2.
I'm sorry for the shaky video, I had to ask my 9 year old son to help me record it, so yeah :-)
