Today we embarked on our first winter hike in Japan! A 1000 steps hike to reach the top of Yama-dera in Yamagata.
今天我们开始了在日本的第一次冬季徒步旅行！爬了1000梯，到达了山寺山顶。
The top view, Godaido, is of course stunning but what's more memorable is the perseverance, patience, concentration and consistency in conquering every icy-slippery steps together. Indeed, enjoying the process makes the results sweeter.
山顶的美景当然是非常美丽，但更难忘的是坚持不懈，耐心，专注和一致，共同克服每一个冰冷的台阶。事实上，享受这个过程使得结果更加甜美。

Beautiful scenes along the way. Take a rest every now and then. Catch your breath and enjoy the view.

I tried to slide down the ice on one of the steps. Fun, but scary though.
