What do I live for?

Today people are asking themselves: what does she live? Is there any meaning of my life? Who should I be? - may not always give an answer, for it is not always looking for these answers where they can find the right one.

Often trying a lot to make a lot of money, make a career, achieve success, people try to find meaning in their lives. This way of life has been widely publicized by all the media, and those who conduct such method is very popular. And often we don't see or just don't want to see "the other side" of life, because life without eternal values quickly becomes boring and empty, and the person has an insatiable desire to fill that void. Therefore in the countries with the highest welfare is a very high percentage of suicides, and famous (successful) people in the world could not understand what they live for, and felt in despair:

Elton John the famous singer, whose albums have sold millions of copies, said of himself: "been Suffering for 40 years and I have nothing to hold onto in life. Career success, but in reality I am miserable". His suicide attempt was widely covered by the press...

In order to "guess" the mystery of life, let us consider a passage of Scripture Matt. 13. 45, 46. "More like the Kingdom of heaven to a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls. When he had found one pearl of great price, goes and sells all that he has and buys it."

From this passage we learn that in order to attain the goal - to get the pearl, the merchant must renounce all other money of things – because you have to find the money to buy the pearl of great price. And in our lives, we must renounce some things, ideas, projects, to perceive a different, better goal. It is important for everyone to choose and understand the best goal in life, then it will make sense. What is then the best goal.

Freddie mercury, the lead singer of Queen who died in 1991. cried in one of the last songs: "does anybody know what we are living for?" it was a huge success, a lot of fans, but in an interview shortly before his death he admitted that he is terribly lonely. "You can have everything in this world, - he told, - and be terribly lonely is the most bitter form of loneliness. Success has made me the idol, brought me millions, but it did not give me what is most important – the love that lasts". So, we see that in our lives love we need most, and no human relationship can not satisfy us completely. Nothing lasts forever. We always lack something because we are created for fellowship with God, and He is love. Only when we love God, we fill in the void that is in our heart and find the meaning of our existence.
