Here's a very good online comics by a Singaporean duo known as The Woke Salaryman.

What they say is true, if you don't experience any hardship you'll never appreciate earning and saving money then building a growing income.
Even if you're poor now, don't let it stop you from being successful and rich one day. In their case, if one comes from a rich family, most children expect their parents to be there as their financer forever. Don't make that parenting mistake once you rise up and become wealthy and successful. Let your children learn how to earn their own money and strive to make an honest living.
Hard work, patience and persistence is always better in the long run. A comfortable life will never make you strive for success. ā
Being poor and without much money initially is actually the best thing that can happen in our lives. I realized this "so late" in my life because I had the poor but priviledged mindset: Priviledged to get something from "rich" relatives. It's a sad kind of mindset expecting other people will save you instead of saving yourself from your past to future financial problems. šµ

I'm still working towards completely removing and replacing this poor/entitled mindset. Over the years, I have realized the poor, victim, priviledged and lazy mindset will get you nowhere:
- Expecting family, relatives or other people to save you by giving you money and resources everytime you need it will never make you rich.
- Financial literacy is better than feeling entitled because of poverty or having wealthy parents.
- Use the envy and/or hate you (may) feel towards wealthy people as fuel to become successful.
- Above all, remember to do good to others for we are here on Earth to one day go back to Heaven and not just become rich and powerful people. š

Wise people did say, "Give a man a fish and he will live for a day, teach a man to fish and you will feed him for a lifetime."

If we don't have money, why don't we work hard, do some side gigs, save and then invest our money? Life is not as easy as it seems. Thus if we cannot find a mentor or have parents who are financially literate, we must go out and learn to be finance savvy.
There are many ways to be rich. People can become wealthy and successful in various ways. It can be by being an employee rising up the ranks until you've become a top official in the company, having a business and then a successful franchise, investing in real estate (even outside their country!) and/or stocks, creating amazing art, etc. We just have to find out what our talents are and what we are willing to do and sacrifice in order to become successful.

We cannot always expect and wait to get something from other people. If you are sick, will you not go to the hospital to get better?
Let's say you got cancer, won't you look for, find and try everything that can cure you? Won't you start living a healthier lifestyle, stop your bad habits and drink some all natural superfoods juices? Will you wait for someone to donate lots of money while you do little or nothing because you're very very sick ("Boohoo, poor you" š)?
In case you're not bedridden I don't see the point of just waiting for people to help you. If a person like Nick Vujicic who has no arms and legs can become successful, why not you too? Even those who have skin ulcers or goiter can be healed or get better if they find the right organic supplements.

When you see an opportunity for your health and/or your financial situation to get better, even if you'd have to educate yourself, work a bit more or even spend some money to invest in something good, will you not take it?

Expecting an inheritance is almost the same as expecting to receive financial aid. Let's not wait for alms and donations or any inheritance from other people and then do nothing to make our life better. That's what keeps other people poor and dependent on donations or money from strangers or their family breadwinners. That's what causes family problems and individual financial burdens. People who do not have dreams and do not take risks and avoid the experience of many hardships + failures in striving for success will never reach it.

Now do you also realize why all those rich people have trust funds for their kids when they reach a certain age? We've seen the movies and never really realized why it happens, until now. Nothing is really free except to dream about our goals in life.

No dream and goal can be achieved without educating ourselves (aside from going to school). We must also learn to make plans then TAKE ACTION to reach and achieve success.
Rags to riches stories are always admirable, right? Oprah Winfrey, Manny Pacquiao, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc., what do they all have in common? Well, we don't need to be as famous as them but we can learn a lot from their life stories. Pure luck can only get you so much. Hard work, vision and a healthy mindset is more important to rise above poverty/priviledge.

It's up to each of us and what we do with our lives to become the best version of ourselves. Doing that will allow us to appreciate life, give back and share best practices to also help other people become successful.
Let's strive to be better everyday and together we can make the world a better place. It's not easy but it will be worth it. š
