Don't Stay Focused On The Closed Door

When a door closes on us, we often spend time wondering why it had to happen, figuring out all we did wrong, and all we have potentially lost by losing that opportunity etc. And we spend way too much time on that.

But the truth is, no single problem has been solved just by sitting down, wondering and figuring out problems and mistakes. The problems you've figured out only become useful when you decide to take actions concerning them.

A "door closing moment" is a "decision-making moment", in that tough moment, you will be faced with really tough decisions to make. To either leave in regret staring at that door for too long or to move on and open your heart to many other opportunities that might come your way.

Doors close in almost every aspect of our lives- relationships, career, friendship, academics, you just name it. And with each door that closes, a battle starts from within. Most times, we choose to keep knocking on these doors.

While knocking on these doors continually isn't really bad, it can be really unhealthy and draining (mentally and emotionally). I believe it's not worth it.

When we focus on that door which has closed, we miss out on many other doors (opportunities) which will open and are inviting us to walk through them. We have to understand that life offers far more better and beautiful things than that which lies behind that closed door.

Maybe a door wouldn't open just immediately one closes and maybe it will. But it really doesn't matter if another open immediately or not, just don't focus on that which has closed because it is not always worth it.

A door closing on you might mean a redirection, how about seeing it in that light as well, learning all you need to learn and moving on to the next path of your life? When you move from there, you will see open doors (too many of them).

A door closing doesn't mean an end to your life, because there are many doors, you will need to have faith in those moments. Just think of this, one house tends to have more than one entrance to it, how much more is life that is way bigger than just one house, it offers different paths and different doors. Don't miss out on all these while you focus on one (that is closed).

Remember that you can do better even without that opportunity (because there are many others) and that you can create your own opportunity when you can't see any that aligns with what you want.

Believe that there are way better things than that that which lies behind that closed door, keep your hope alive and don't be scared to embrace new opportunities
