Yup, even my girl, Tinker, likes to hear stories.
She will look me in the eye and tilt her head first one way, then the other. I'm sure she's listening for the 'good' words... like walk, outside, cookie, or hungry. In any case, she has a working vocabulary and will (mostly) listen when I'm rambling on about what we're going to do next. Today's story was about going out to do some tidying up in the backyard. She loves THAT one. The ones involving food are her favorite, though, for obvious reasons.
