Rain was pouring down in our part of the world for the last two days. The water levels have risen all over Slovenia. There are no major floods yet although these are expected in the lower course of some rivers.
These photos were taken today in the afternoon along the river Sava just north of Ljubljana. The river has reached its high point, the main stream is brown and flowing down like wild. Nothing can escape this force of nature.
Here was a small pebble beach and the path down to it. The beach is flooded and the path is gone.
Trees growing out of the river? No, the river came to them.
The majestic force of the nature.
These eaten out banks of the river tell us that the river was even higher several years ago.
Fresh cracks in the bank which will fall any time now.
These trees are growing well fifty meters away from the usual bank of the river.
Better and better!
