Why I’m stoked for next weekend (Steemfest)!

I can't wait.

Let’s make this short. And awesome. And weird as always - that's how I like to express myself.

In less than 5 days I will be on my way to Amsterdam.

I think everybody knows why.

Otherwise, you spent the last couple weeks under a rock. Are you even active …?

I’m going to Steemfest! Obviously.

Have you ever been to a networking event?

The kind of gatherings you hope will “change your life”.

Make you feel less of an outcast. Finally meet some friends. People with common interests, visions and similar goals.

At least that’s what I picture when I hear the term “networking event”.

It’s nothing more than a fancy way of saying “I’m going to waste my time today.” Most of the time.

Of course, there are the good ones. Important meetings and get-togethers able to elevate you to the next level. Whatever the next level is.

But most of them … forget it. Waste of time.

They leave you unsatisfied.

So, why include all this negativity in my post about going to Steemfest?

Because in Steemfest I believe.

Above I illustrated how tough it is to find people with the same interests.

You might have noticed yourself. When trying to get people to join Steemit, when building your future instead of partying on the weekends.

But on Steemit we are all creators.

We pull our happiness out of creating stuff. Making art. Writing.

Doing.

We are not your typical consumer who enjoys being fed what the media shows them.

There is a mission we all pursue. Making Steemit work and having our voices heard.

To leave our mark on the world and make it a better place.

Too much already?

Anyways, I hereby thank everybody for all the good stuff that happened on this Steemit journey of mine.

Everybody that makes Steemfest possible, everybody that reads my posts, everybody that makes Steemit possible.

I appreciate your continuous support.

Hit me up on Steemit.chat and tell me your story, I’d love to listen. (ikigaii on steemit.chat – ikigai is somehow lost)

Looking forward to meeting all you amazing folks next week!

We might not have talked or written yet but in my eyes, we are one big family with the same goal in mind.

Stay awesome and don’t fail to create!
