Have you ever thought to yourself, if only I had known before. I would love to be able to tell my 14 year old self a few things.

I say 14 as that's the age I remember, I can't remember much before then, some say I have blocked it out. Whatever the reason I would love to be able to reassure my self for my future.
WHAT I WOULD SAY
It will end and you will become stronger
Don't listen to negative people.
Be yourself at all times
Put your needs first.
He really isn't worth it, you will do better.
Live your life your way and not to please others.
Work hard at school
Mistakes happen, don't dwell on them
DO NOT JUMP OVER ANYTHING EVER
Save your money, save as much as you can.

If we all had the chance to go back and tell our younger selfs something that would benefit them in the future would you listen, would you take any notice. Being 14 is a difficult age, its the age when we know everything, at 14 weren't we always right. Hormones and boys seemed to take over.
14 was very hard for me, it's when I jumped over a wall and changed my whole future its the year I fought back and stood up to my parents.
I often wonder what my life would have been like if I hadn't have jumped.

I have told my children all my mistakes I have been honest about how I grew up, I have advised them but left the choices up to them thankfully they have both listened and have done what's best for them.
REALLY THATS ALL WE CAN DO IS ADVISE OUR CHILDREN, LET THEM KNOW WHAT THE CONSEQUENCES COULD BE THEN LEAVE IT UP TO THEM. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL LEARN AND PASS THERE WISDOM ON
Now I'm 52 I look back and see where I went wrong, what I could have done better and things I shouldn't have done. Sometimes I remember something that makes me cringe. I hate those memories the most.

Thank you son-of-satire
