When it snows, I really miss my hometown

Today every newsfeed spammed me that snow was falling big time in Holland. I spent most of my life in Holland, now Im living in the Caribbean. There is not the slightest of chances that snow will ever fall here.

When it snows in Holland, total chaos and anarchy seems the follow always. Roads close, airtraffic is troubled, and everybody seems kranky. Dutchies are very about being on time, and snow makes it all unpredictable, so they complain about the weather. Except for the children, they have a blast, they go outside.

With all this news, I have to grin a little bit. Because I LOVE snow, like LOVE. The sounds of silence, when it falls in the light of the streetlights, the cracking under your feet when you walk through it. When I used to live in Holland, I would always walk to work when it would snow. A walk of about an hour, the most beautiful part of the day. Im not in a rush when it snows, I enjoy it. You would always see me smiling when snow is falling. And I wouldnt stress about it. Government advises to stay inside? Cool, I will stay inside.
