What does Friendship really mean?

I think without friends no one can live. I'm lucky to have friends with whom I can talk to anytime, anyway. Often, they are the ones who give me the necessary energy.

Usually friendship is seen as that warm and pleasant relationship that gives us confidence, gives us the courage to act in some more difficult moments. Friendship is the oasis we seek when we lack power and hope. It's that light when no one understands us. Friendship is something profound that should not be spoken so easily.

How does a friendship rise?

If we were to think about the definition of friendship, it means an affective and cooperative relationship between two or more people that involves mutual support, mutual trust, loyalty, love, understanding and empathy, but also many other qualities The other, sympathy, honesty, the possibility of confession in front of each other, the possibility of asking for help in situations of pleasure, but also joy in the presence of the other person) that make the connection between those persons to be unique and full of beauty.

From my point of view, for these qualities to be present in a relationship of friendship, an extremely important ingredient is needed: the knowledge of the other in depth. As long as we do not know enough about the person next to us, we will hardly be able to integrate these things. As Elbert Hubbard also said:

A real friend is the one who, even though he knows you well, continues to like you.

Very often, friendships are born very quickly, based on common things (for example, the same preference for music, the same way of spending leisure time, the same way of thinking, and the like). Certainly, this greatly helps to create a friendship, to maintain it, but it is certainly not enough. The fact that the same opinions and preferences are shared does not ensure a lasting connection.

I believe that it is just in critical moments or less pleasant to see who is really a friend and here comes the ability to be with each other, to understand him and to help him to overcome the moment.

For a friendship to be quality, it is important that everyone contributes with the best and completes the other, and so the "product" will be a success. Also, a very important thing for a real friendship is giving up addiction. Everyone needs their moment, their intimacy and their own rhythm to act. In friendship, these things are often omitted.

People think friends must share with them and, more than that, be the first to find out. Totally wrong! This need for addiction will only lead to frustration, anger and a superficial relationship.

For a deep relationship it is not necessary to spend a lot of time together, but quality. A true friend will always be present in your heart, even if he can not be physically present, and you can talk to him and feel warm even from a distance.
Kinds of friendship

It may seem odd, but yes, there are several types depending on the needs of each. Of course, there are many who talk about different types of friendship, but I have chosen Aristotle. It seemed to me that his perspective was the most appropriate.

  1. Friendship based on utility (use). This guy is often found in the elderly and friendships with strangers. In these cases, people do not look for the company of others because they sympathize, but because they gain from it. This type of friendship does not last over time.

  2. Friendship based on pleasure. This occurs more among young people. They tend to be influenced by the sensations of the moment and make decisions that satisfy their desires and the pleasures of the moment. Often it happens that these young people get to know each other and break up the same day.

  3. Friendship based on well-being (harmony). This is the most beneficial type of friendship. People in this category get friends because they like it because they have the necessary qualities for the relationship to be lasting and, more than that, they are based on similarity, on common values that make the interaction between those people positive .

Friendship must be maintained, encouraged, and always respected

To respect is not to agree to all the actions taken by the other, but to respect them, understand them, and let the person figure out where it is wrong. Of course, your own opinion can be said, but without the need, without choking the person.

There is another important thing that can destroy a friendship: FRICA. As long as we live with fears that the relationship can end for various reasons, as a friend / friend can upset about small things, we only bring in negative energy, waste time with unnecessary things and thoughts and stress them And the others.

Friendship involves depth, involvement, and desire for permanent evolution.
