I've returned to Steemit with a new project.
I took a five month break to heal more from abuse and I've now started a podcast I'd like to share with you all. The project is called Karma Police and it focuses on the experiences of two survivors of abuse and their journey to freedom. One of those survivors is me. We cover everything from the #metoo movement to ritual abuse. Why am I back?
I wasn't planning to return to this Steemit account, But I've now decided to speak out even more loudly that I have before for the rights of children and those who experienced abuse as children. I'll be writing more in the next few weeks about the topics we've covered in the podcasts so far. I'll also provide more information for survivors, or anyone interested in what has been done to so many children on our planet. What's this about?
For now, below I've posted some links to a few clips below. You can listen to more on YouTube here.#1 The Art of Healing
Are you a survivor? This week we begin to take a look at abuse in childhood and how to heal from it. Phoenix is joined by Aria who recalls her childhood and exposes the connections between power and the mistreatment of children.
She also describes her journey from escaping the family home to, more recently, becoming an artist who now speaks out for children. If you’re looking for support and a sense of hope in your own healing journey, join us for this special pilot episode.
#2 Children who self-medicate with drugs

Aria speaks out about how her use of heroin as a child was the means by which she self-medicated the pain of being sexually abused.
#3 Making the Darkness Visible: Healing from ritual abuse
This week’s podcast focuses on the memories of a ritual abuse survivor and her experiences as a child. As the psychologist Carl Jung said, “Enlightenment consists not merely in seeing of luminous shapes and visions, but in making the darkness visible."
#4 The Establishment of Abuse
What are the connections between money, power, and the abuse of children? In this week's episode, Phoenix describes his experience of institutional abuse at an elite London school. He also recounts the school's collaboration with a child abuse camp connected to the seat of power in Britain. We also take a look at how money, government and media use their power to keep the spotlight off those abusers who remain in power.
#5 Fear of Therapy
Have you ever visited a therapist? Was it useful, or is psychotherapy the monetization of our modern social disconnection? In this episode, we explore this topic and the ways in which therapy can help or harm us. Join us as both Phoenix and Aria talk about their long, and often bizarre, experiences of therapy gone wrong. We also give out information on alternative methods of healing and offer some book suggestions to help with a self-therapy approach.
