Trying To Organize My Life


I've spent my afternoon trying to get some things done/in order. I have a to-do list of all the big and small tasks, but these days I haven't done anything. I'm feeling overwhelmed and anxious but today I finally managed to cross off a few things from my list.

  1. Cleaning
    Clean space = clear mind, especially when anxiety kicks in. After cleaning my room, moving the bed, vacuuming the floor, changing the bedsheets and all that jazz, I felt a lot better! Now my space is clutter free, fresh and enjoyable!

  2. Library visit
    I went to the library last week to return the books but this week there is a 50% discount for the annual membership. We have this every year in honor of the Book fair in Belgrade and since my membership ends on the 26th, I took advantage of the discount. I payed only 250 Serbian dinar which is about 2,50 USD. I've read 18 books so far this year for that small amount of money! Gotta love library! :)

  3. Sorting out my shoes
    I've been meaning to do this for a while now. In the video you can see before and after. I threw away two pairs of shoes, they were damaged inside and hurt my feet, I ever got a bruised heel once. Two pairs I am going to try and sell. One pair I left for my cousin, even though I don't know when I'll see her, the rest I will donate.

  4. Watering plants
    Pretty self explanatory. I have one plant in my room, my mom asked me to take it so I did. I also watered the rest of the plants in the house that needed it.

  5. Taking off nail polish
    Another thing I've been meaning to do for a couple of days but I was just putting it off. I might give more attention to my nails tonight, do a little at home treatment.

  6. Brain dumo/Journaling
    I needed this so much!! Putting my thoughts and feelings on paper always makes me feel better, it is my therapy. It also gives me a better perspective of anything that has been bothering me or stressing me out. Maybe I'll do more writing before I go to sleep.

  7. Sending e-mails
    I've been dreading this task since one of the e-mails I had to send was to my University and I had so much anxiety because of it. Well, because of what the reply might be, to be more specific. I am hoping for the best and I have faith that everything will be okay. Other e-mail was for the kids and youth shelter where I would like to donate shoes and some clothes. They replied after only few minutes so next time I go to the city, I'll take the stuff with me.

That was me trying to organize my life a little bit in one afternoon. I feel good about it and now my biggest concern is the University so once that is solved, I know I will feel even better. A lot better! :)
