A JANITOR OR A CEO; WHICH WOULD YOU PREFER?

Seems like the dumbest question to ask in the universe because we all have a ready-made makeup answer. It is a Metaphor for knowing who wishes to Rule and who wants to serve, nobody wants to serve, we all want to rule and be a boss!

100:1 or Zero would take the post of a CEO, no one ever wants to be a Janitor; maybe the person is yet to be born. But a CEO and a Janitor is born of woman, none fell from the sky or was manufactured,
hence there is dignity in this two extremely wide gapped entities.

Somewhere in between the Janitor and the CEO, reasons stop mattering- Steve Jobs

As Jobs said, in that distance gap between a common Cleaner and the Boss; mistakes for failure and incompetence never suffices at one end while on the other end excuses are forgiven. Both positions come with highs and lows, one might pay extremely better and the other might give complete rest of mind. It is interesting to note how most CEOs, Bosses treats their Janitors and subordinates once the apex position has been tasted.

Heraclitus stated rightly that "Character is Destiny." To be unsentimentally clear, most powerful and wealthy leaders/rulers dig their graves when the affairs of the lesser people around them are not catered for. The human element; Empathy needs to rise above egos and achievement to be a fully accomplished Leader- CEO.

A Janitor is human, just like the CEO. But the mistake many of us make is treating servants/followers, subordinates employees rudely at work or home or anywhere and then we pay homages to Bosses, Celebrities, Pastors and so on like they are inhuman. A Janitor today might become a CEO with a twist of faith!

The slaves knows the way more than the master, therefore if a slave is treated nicely he shows the master the way...

The above quote is an ancient African proverb, most Bosses and CEOs do not know this but the best and honest opinions are from these unbiased and unsentimental simple folks we do not take seriously each and every day of our lives both in great organizations and any establishments.

Every Great institution is the lengthened shadows of a single man, his character determines the character of the Organization- Ralph Waldo Emerson

A Boss, CEO or even the President of a country that builds a broad and large reserve of good will in all levels at an organization or States would elapse the rough stretches leaderships brings along with it. Treating a tier of followers/subordinates/servants/Janitors without respect irrespective of their qualifications could be detrimental elements to the rise in power of individuals. These cleaners, Janitors, office errands/supports all have a role to play in any life or business set up.

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are while your reputation is merely what others think you are- John Wooden

Treat everyone fairly and nicely, and make your decisions on where to invest your own talents based on where you find good characters!
