For 30 weeks non-stop, that Awkward Moment series had never failed to deliver to friends and fans that read about the part fiction and non-fiction blogs about happenings around us "off the Blockchain". "TO BE FAMOUS"
People will do anything to be popular, Actors, Rockstars, Musicians, Sportstars, Media Personality etc all have one thing in common, to be rich and known far and near. Most times once this apex position has been attained, nobody cares what and how you get there; you and only your conscience knows what you have done to achieve the unachievable.
Two guys, best of friends once moved to the city for a better opportunity. Both friends; Tim and Mark were broadcasters in a small county who needed more exposure and audience, therefore the decision to move to the city became inevitable. Both friends are in their mid-twenties, single and handsome with a unique talent, they had been friends from high school through college so it was easy to relocate together and live together. Getting to the city, after many interviews and trials; nothing came up for this two friends.
To pay bills and feed, Tim took a teaching offer after few months with no luck while Mark still wants to follow his dreams, never wanted to "soft-pedal" and do something pending the time a good offer comes up.
With good faith, Tim was catering to their needs without complaining. After several months of searching, a TV station called Mark and Tim for another interview. Fortunately, both of them qualified and with just one slot opened; Tim had to turn down subsequent screening for Mark to get something to do- a dream come through for Mark!.
Few weeks down the line, things start to change. Mark starts to skip coming home few times a week, and then could go for a week long without calling his friend or check on him. And all this while, Mark never paid any bills nor maintain their little apartment. It went on like that for another month before both friends had a fallout, Tim challenging Mark of negligence and not taking responsibilities. All the time Mark was skipping home, he was having an affair with a manager at work to get promotion and pay-rise.
With their fallout, Mark packed from home and moved in with his new partner, his boss from Work. The lady, a divorcee was using Mark to "keep her bed warm" at night, promising Mark recommendations for promotion and pay-rise which never came after three more months.
Tim got a better offer in another city after few months of Mark separation, Mark never had a promotion and a pay increase till the manager got fired. As a top executive, the company pays for her rent and everything stopped immediately she got fired, Mark was stranded, he wasn't saving and he got nowhere to go!
