Last week I read a post from one of my favourite Steemians, @papa-pepper.
After staying up late until 1:30 am, working on his own steemit stuff, his wife, mama-pepper, suggested that he not set the alarm clock, in an effort to try to sleep in and just wake-up naturally.
He took his wife's advice, didn't set the alarm and woke up shortly after 6 am.
In case you missed it, here's papa-pepper's original post on the topic:

As a side note and a way to conclude his successful hunting account, he included a picture of 2 of his 4 kids. The were wearing cute little dresses and kerchiefs holding their hair back in front of a beautiful pumpkin pie they were making together as a family.
I mentioned what a beautiful job I thought "Momma" did making her pie pastry.
Making pastry is an art at the best of times. In my world, it's right up there with stars and planetary alignments all coming together in the right sequence. It takes perfect conditions, just the right amount of not handling the dough too much combined with the correct portions of the right type of flour, water and temperature. There's a lot of details to get right before the dough gets too warm or overworked.
Momma's pastry looked beautiful. She had taking the time to make leaves which it looks like she had cut-out from her left-over pastry dough, after she had lined her pie plate. She used these leaves to decorate the rim and provide the finishing touch to the pie she was preparing for her family. The really interesting thing about these details to me, is that Momma is currently the mother of 4 children with one on the way. Her oldest is 6. She's also homeschooling everyone...I suspect maybe even Papa too,... in a few areas.
Papa is the first person to give credit to Momma. He knows that she is a miracle worker and he's not sure how she does what she does in any given day. He shares comments that he receives with her that are directly related to her and her efforts.
Everyone can benefit from genuine praise.
Acknowledgment helps and is a great self-esteem booster. I think that everyone needs acknowledgment every once in a while.
I was so moved by the few comments that I exchanged with Papa to share with Momma that I thought the whole topic was worth writing about.
I know that beside many great Steemians, there is a "silent sweat equity partner" who's helping us to blog as much as we are.
It starts with love, and is supported by a lot of faith and is pinned together with hope.
Ultimately hope that, through Steemit efforts, a new way of living will emerge as a better lifestyle for all of us.
So, each of us currently contributing to Steemit in our own ways, is holding space, so this can occur.
My silent sweat equity partner's name is Dan.
He doesn't like to be in the spotlight and isn't thrilled about having his picture taken, so just know, when you see these man hands in my posts, they belong to him and he has agreed to help me with a component that I find really difficult.
In this case, it was cutting turnip. Now, you might think that cutting turnip is no big deal but last year, I was cutting a huge cabbage to make saucer kraut and sliced my thumb. It was disastrous because I'm a massage therapist by profession and we couldn't get the bleeding stopped. We had to use crazy-glue to seal the edges of the cut together and I couldn't work. As a result, Dan helps me with these things and I take the pictures...to save my digits.
Sometimes, he is taking the pictures, when a selfie, just won't cut it.
Yeah, try to get a full teepee inside a museum, in a picture without any other people in the shot, by yourself. Tricky to do, but easy when you have a supportive partner.
More man-hands. On this day, Dan peeled 14 lbs of apples for a post I did about dehydrating apples.
He built me this garden barrel and filled it with soil, so that I could plant it and I blogged about the process.
He held a pair of vapourizers so that I could take a better picture and blog about my review of them.
These are just a few small things that come to mind straight away. There are literally hundreds of things that Dan has silently helped me do...well, mostly silent, since we joined Steemit.
I am very thankful for his help and support over the last 4 months.
I, like Papa, have stayed up late at night to work on Steemit stuff and I've gotten up early to do the same.
Our lifestyle has changed greatly in how we currently are spending our spare time.
I just wanted to say that I couldn't do what I am doing on this platform alone and I know that I'm not the only person who shares these feelings.
Thank you to everyone who is contributing towards making Steemit a wonderful lifestyle.
Your efforts are not going unnoticed and I for one, appreciate everything that I am seeing and reading.
Momma your pie pastry is incredible. You are doing a fantastic job. I noticed.
I welcome your comments and invite you to follow me on my journey.
