"Fly Life" - A MacroVerse of Colour, Rhyme, Elevation

I've been experimenting with the camera, playing around with its various modes and settings when the mood takes me. Below is a selection of seven macro-shots (not counting the cover image above), taken in the garden at home over the past few weeks. These were shot in RAW, adjusted a little on import into Photoshop, and then cropped to their current size.

Photos taken with a Nikon D200 + Nikon AF-S 40mm f2.8 MG lens.

and buzz with spontaneous flavour?

do they lie hidden, unseen as we speak -
out of focus, the fruits of thy labour?

is the web of existence riddled with strife,
tortured, twisted, full of broken-hearted endeavour?

is the channel over-wide does the current feel strong?
have they left you no nectar to savour?

sunbathing, with leafy lens and compound eye
"I spy before me this fluorescent scene...."

"and it is not just I!", continues zis Wunderbar Fly

rise high and dry, at one - at peace with the sky,
golden wings spread over violet and green

as ever before, and ever once more
worlds mirrored in raindrops continue unseen
as Consciousness wakes up in Dream,
bearing gifts for the Fairy Queen.
