Covering the ladies

I am still a ways out from harvest time but we are having a very rainy week so I have put up a shelter over my plants. It is a big red yard umbrella - I have seen this day coming so I have trained my plants to fit roughly under it. This week was the moment of truth, as I hadn't actually tried putting the umbrella over them - I had just been kind of eyeballing it as I trained my girls. It works pretty well!

As the rains beat down I noticed a few stray branches that were poking out and getting battered down farther and farther - so I made a few snips and have some early harvest. I was planning on taking a tiny amount as an early harvest anyway because I am almost out of my spring harvest (I tried something new this year and did an outdoor spring bud on plants started over the winter - actually worked decently).

The red umbrella makes a good backdrop for bud shots I think :)

Thankful to live in a legal state!

I am thankful to live in Oregon, a state which has finally legalized marijuana for recreational use. I can legally grow up to four plants (I have three beautiful girls). I hope to see the legalization movement continue to sweep across America regardless of the current political climate.

Cheers - Carl
