Steem Mining is Easy Again Thanks to the Zcash (ZEC) Craze

mining

If you were not happy with the long domination of the miner-witness queue of Steem by just two users that apparently used private GPU miners, making it very hard anyone else using CPU to mine much you might want to try firing up your CPU at mining Steem again. Thanks to the craze around Zcash (ZEC) and the high profit that it currently offers the Steem miner-witness queue is again free for anyone using regular CPU mining. Any it seems that many regular users are joining in with their CPUs...

It is entirely different thing though if you should be mining Steem instead of mining ZEC even with your CPU and buying Steem if talking about what will get you more Steem tokens. Mining Zcash and trading it for Steem tokens also means you get the liquid token and not Steem Power like if you are going to be mining Steem directly. Currently even with CPUs mining ZEC the profit is quite high as compared to what you will get in a day mining Steem with the current low Steem token price.

Again you might just mine Zcash and trade it to Steem and get more Steem Power in a day at the moment as an alternative to mining Steem. Mining Steem has another tiny bit of a problem for some users at the moment and that is the already very high memory requirements that steemd has. So if you don't have at least 16GB RAM on your system you might not be very happy with the results when trying to run steemd on your computer to mine, the blockchain is already also pretty big and if you have to download it from the start it can take a bit of time to do it.

So just think about the idea of mining ZEC and trading it for Steem than directly mining Steem Power on the Steem blockchain...
