Mining Bitcoin at Home: Week 4 Update

Week 1 update here
Week 2 update here
Week 3 update here

Hello everyone!

Another week has flown by and it’s time to report my weekly earnings from mining Bitcoin at home. This past week I was playing with the miner’s voltage settings, which led to instability in its operation and some unexpected downtime periods. I have now restored the original settings and it’s working stably again. I continue being very unlucky when it comes to choosing a pool on which I should mine on any given moment. I missed some blocks, while mining on a ‘wrong’ pool or due to the downtime periods mentioned above. Well, I’m still learning, so I hope that the knowledge acquired hard way will lead to better results in the future. Despite all this I’m remaining optimistic! :)

So here’s the concrete numbers for the Week 4 results:

In total the miner has earned 0.012674 BTC this week, or about half of the previous week’s earnings. 0.006976 BTC came from mining on CKPool, 0.00291762 BTC from Bitcoin.com’s mining pool, and 0.00277977 BTC from NiceHash.

Thank you for taking time to check this weekly update and I hope to report even more impressive results in the next one. Stay tuned! ;)
