I am celebrating my first birthday while I am on Steemit and it is a great feeling. Steemit has given me more than I have ever hoped for. Today is a time to look back and see what I have achieved in the past four months with your help.
Today is a special day for me: I am turning 37 and I realize that I have found the culmination of all the skillz I gathered of the time of my life to rock the Steemit world. I feel like a fish in the water when it comes to content creation on this beautiful platform. What better way to make a living while living on a mountain in Costa Rica?
When I joined four months ago I was broke. Today I can pay my rent with my Steemit income and still let my account grow to save the precious Steem Power, a concept I grew very found about. When I go to the shop these days I smile knowing that I can pay with my crypto debit card using the hard earned Steem Dollars I collected with your upvotes.
This is one of these posts that just screams for showing off the status quo. It is always an opportunity to see what is possible for you and what I have actually achieved for myself.

I have had many moments on Steemit where I wondered if this is all worth my time. Little payouts and interaction followed my for weeks. But I endured by looking at the long run and clinging to the instant gratification I received, no matter how little it was. I used every Steem Dollar I owned to reinvest it into my account for the first two months. Nearly every day for about 300 posts in total spread over several accounts.
Last week I was for the first time among the top 35 highest payed out Steemians. I am already loosing that position again due to a few days off - my first days off Steemit in four months! It was never easy and it continues to stay a daily hustle to get recognition on Steemit but I am seeing how quickly things start to multiply on every level. Thank you Steemit, you have changed my life for the better!
