I been lucky to be part of the Serato Sample beta testing, used it on trial mode for two months through its beta releases and honestly it blew my mind away it was way quicker for me able to chop my samples and manipulate them with support of the inside power tools inside Serato Sample like "Pitch n Time" the best time-stretching and pitch-shifting plug-in out there with special features including 'morphing' time-stretch and ability to recreate varispeed effects.

INTERFACE

Serato sample looks clear and gives you an eye on all the options available. You get two clear waveforms. Wave shape preview and a detailed waveform that you can zoom in and out. This waveform comes as a standard, but you can also pause whenever you like. The length shapes are so colorful that you can see what you're doing by sampling using this waveform. very useful! You can find more easy parts with, for example, kicks or traps.

USER EXPERIENCE

Serato is so friendly sample that even your mother can get involved (Joking! well, modern mothers with production ambitions).

The Samples are divided into 16 pads, which can be played on MIDI keyboard or a Drum machine.

Quickest way to get you started is First you need to LOAD or Drag your Sample or music file you want to chop your samples from. Then, you can click the "Find Samples" button at the bottom left. Serato Sample will automatically split your track into multiple samples or you can do it manually.

KEY FEATURES

• Key detection and shifting: Find the key and then shift it with Pitch ‘n Time.
• Find samples with Autoset: With one click our algorithm finds 16 of the best samples to work with.
• Familiar Cue Point workflow: Use Serato DJ's popular Cue Point workflow to set and trigger pads.
• Sample manipulatuion: Manipulate each pad individually. Mess with key, bpm and more.
• Serato’s colored waveforms: Visually understand tracks without having to listen to them. Red for bass, blue for highs.

CUSTOMIZATION

Each sample is customizable with four basic criteria: level, filter, attack and release.

This way, you can customize each of the samples you chopped to the way your creative juices takes you.

To make it more fun, with the built in Pitch & Time you can take Warping and Key Shifting to a whole newt level without loosing the quality of the sample you using. In addition you can also adjust the pitch of the entire track, edit the BMP and / or synchronize with your project. It's very convenient to hear or all sounds.

INSTALLING

Installing Serato Sample plug-in is just a simple download get it on https://serato.com/sample

After installation, use it in your DAW or your choice (Ableton, Pro Logic X, Fl Studio, etc,,,).

I personally use it with Ableton Live 9 and it workes perfect.
