German musicians

We did start with the Music genre as first topic to highlight famous Germans. Like with the writers yesterday it was @Shortcut again to suggest a great German band who was pioneering Electronic Music and paved the way for later sounds we know now as Techno, House, Trance and Electronic Dance. Furthermore they influence many other music genres still.

Meet Kraftwerk

Kraftwerk are a German electronic music band formed in 1969 (great year!) in Düsseldorf. This was very new to me, I always thought Berlin. In the 70s, they were among the first successful popular electronic music acts that were pioneers in the sector.

They have inspired a wide and diverse range of artists across various music sectors even Hip Hop. According to an international source -"The Observer" *"no other band since the Beatles has given so much to pop culture." They also were awarded with a Grammy in 2014 for their Lifetime Achievement. They still produce, play and tour.
