Loops are short sections of sound, usually 2 to 4 bars in length, that repeat over and over again. This seamless repetition of a performance has turned into an art form in and of itself.
Any small piece of a performance can be looped and multiple loops can be layered together into a completely new composition.
Artists are getting quite creative and the technology has evolved to make looping an affordable option for an artist to create their own one man, or woman, show.
This is a short post to introduce you to the concept and share with you some creative examples of looping.

Loop Examples

As you can see, looping expands the musical, creative pallet an artist has to work with and is very intuitive to use.
In future posts, I'll share with you some of the projects I'm working on involving looping.
I hope you enjoyed listening to these artists.
