This morning I checked into Steemit to find a handful of replies to yesterday's post - Awakening the Gamemaker in me and the mindful being in you, where I talked about my 'career switch' - from film making to game making. Apparently a bunch of people seem to like that idea as well as the theme of my game: mindfulness. I definitely like the idea myself as well as the move to game making.
Today I spent a couple of hours working on Mindfulness Mansion. There's still a lot that I need to get used too but hey, there's something called the 10000 hours rule and I've hardly made it past 10 hours.
And then, when I was about to share the first version of the game with you, I managed to delete it. Luckily, I still have a browser link ( unfortunately only playable on my computer ) that enables me to play the game. After some browsing, I managed to find a screen recording program that allowed me to record the screen while playing the game.
In the video above this post, you can see my 5 minute walk through. Be warned! It's a short game with loads of text, words of wisdom and little jokes.
The following screenshot was taken a couple of hours ago, when I was still working on the game and hadn't deleted it yet.
There is actally a small chance that I will be able to recover the deleted game or that I can put it online, for you all to play. The question is: Is it still worth it, after having seen this video? Let's see about that. I might make the game all over again, using the recorded walk through as a referral of how it looked and what was said / written.
For now I will leave you with the following advice
Keep breathing and smiling
I will make sure to do the same...
