I finished the basic structure of my simple tree house. The idea was to make something very straightforward and simple with 2 trees as a base.
In my first Steemit post, i explained how to do it in 3 basic steps and showed some pictures of the 1st step, @bubke/building-a-simple-tent-style-tree-house-step-1
Today, i am glad i can show you the result after completing steps 2 and 3.
For all clarity, i list the 3 steps again:
Choose 2 trees and connect them with 2 solid beams (6 by 2 inch)
Make 2 triangles out of lighter beams (3 by 2 inch)
Put the triangles on top of your solid beams, attach them to your trees if possible and connect them
==> You will have a basic tent-style treehouse structure.
As you can see in the picture, it is a rewarding little job. We sleep and eat there now and more naughty stuff (censored) :-)
I warned about not making it longer than 8 feet between the trees. I went up to 20 feet but i put 2 extra support beams in the middle, visible just in front of the structure. These beams now function as steps to climb up the treehouse.
To finalise it (not on the picture), I put a bit of plywood on the bottom so risc of falling out is a bit less and a bit of plywood on the top. For now, we just use some transparent plastic as a roof because it is much more fun when it is open and you can see the stars etc...
