The Awesomeness of Mother Nature

It's like we spent the vast majority of summer with hardly any rain, storms were often small fast moving systems that if you had blinked you'd miss them. This past Sunday morning mother nature was rock and rolling all night long, here's a rather spectacular picture someone posted to social media.

There were heavy downpours at times that almost made it impossible to drive, if it hadn't been five a.m. I'd probably pulled over and waited it out but there were only a couple more cars on that stretch besides me. Then the storms picked back up on Tuesday, again with heavy downpours that my grandson and myself found ourselves dodging in between periods of light and heavy while at the grocery store and the gas station. We barely got out of the station and under the canopy that the rain started again with winds so high it didn't matter I was under the canopy pumping gas, I got a wind bath of rain slapped on me. We barely got any rain alright but mother nature wasted no time the last couple days making up for it.
