NegativePhotography challenge: The beauty in negative

There is positive in negative. You just have to see it. The common saying goes "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." My version is:

"Beauty is in your ability to appreciate it."

I was tagged by @eii for a #negativephotography challenge. It reminded me of the magical negative photos of @galca which I happen to come across few days ago. These two posts inspired me to go try negative photography.

At first, I thought of direct negative photo and not converted during post processing which made me wonder if my phone has that negative setting. There is none. I have to use a different software. And what a surprise! All my installed photo editors have only B&W, sepia, greyscale, etc. but not negative setting.

I ran to my favorite download site and got the free version of Adobe Photoshop Express.

These are just few of the photos that I took sometime last year. I was waiting for a document that I requested from a government office and had a walk around the building when I got bored and started shooting. I posted the photos on Facebook with caption "When you're bored, just point and shoot." Someone reacted with "That's scary. What if you're holding something else and not a camera?" Well, I guess I'll still point and shoot.

Back to the negative photography, the literal negative films are certainly not as colorful as these. With the advancement of technology, software applications are now able to invert the color into its opposite color on the color wheel. It is like a number which has direct negative value on the other side of the scale. Good logic.

These are just few proofs that there is beauty in negatives. We just have to see it from the right angle.

Following are the gif versions of the photos for comparison with the oroginal ones. Except for the rose, sage and desert rose, can anyone help me identify the flowers on the third and last photos please?
