The Benefit Of Playing Games And Joining Contests
If you have been following @newbiegames for a while, you probably know that joining contests and playing games is more than just fun.
I bet it helped many of you to meet new people. And some of you will probably have profited too.
Growing Our Audience
Since we are only a small account, there’s not a lot of money to invest in huge promotional campaigns. We prefer to give the little money we have back to our members in the form of prizes. Of course we keep a small amount to ourselves, so we are able to grow the account and help more newcomers to get on track.
So now we’re asking for your help.
Our Idea
We decided to set up a referral contest. This means we are going to challenge you to bring in as many new followers as you can. The more followers you can bring us, the bigger your reward will be.
No need to say we only want followers that are interested in what we’re doing here, which is providing you with games to play and contests to join.
This means you can’t force people to sign up. You’ll need to explain to them what @newbiegames is all about, and then ask them politely if they are interested in following the account.
How To Bring In New Followers
There are different ways you can refer new people to the @newbiegames account:
You can write a post about @newbiegames, in which you tell people what we are doing here and how they can benefit from playing games and contests.
If you play a game or join a contest that doesn’t use the #newbiegames tag, you can inform the host that he can use the #newbiegames tag to reach more people, and ask if he might be interested in following the account.
Note: don’t just go around and spam that message on every game or contest you come across. Simply add it as a footnote to your entryYou can go looking for newcomers (for example by checking the Introduceyourself tag) and invite them to follow the account.
Again, don’t start spamming. The correct way to invite newcomers is to read their introductory post, and start your comment with a reference to the article you just read.
Only after that, you can introduce the @newbiegames account and invite the user to follow the account.You can talk about the @newbiegames account in different Discord channel, and ask the people you are talking to if they are interested to join
Be creative, but please don’t spam.
There is no reputation limit, so it doesn’t matter if you refer new users or users that have been around for a while.
The Contest
I will publish a separate game post, especially for this contest. The game will be an easy one.

Here’s how it will work:
You go out and find potential followers. Remember to be polite, and explain what we are doing here at @newbiegames. Ask them if they would like to play a simple game and follow our account.
You send them to the link of the special game I have set up.

Make sure you tell them that they need to let us know that you referred them to the game. They should begin their comment with ‘I was told about this game by @yourname’. Then they can add their entry.
They should also follow our account.

You will need to confirm for every entry that you were actually the referrer. You need to do this by entering the game and starting your comment with ‘I sent @yourreferralsname to this game’.
I will set up the game so that you can enter multiple times in case you refer multiple followers.

To make sure you are notified when someone you referred enters our game, I suggest you set up Ginabot on Discord. She can let you know whenever your name is mentioned. When your referral enters our game and mentions your name, it is your time to confirm the referral by posting your entry.

Entries that don’t contain the referral info, or are not confirmed by the referrer are not valid.
The prizes
I will set up a @steem-bounty, so I can reward everyone with a little prize. I’ll start with a small Steem-Bounty, but if this contest is a succes, I will add more SBD to the Steem-Bounty, so everyone gets a bigger reward.
This Steem-Bounty will make sure that you will get a reward for every referral-comment you make, so the more new followers you will bring us, the more you’ll be rewarded.
50% of the SBD generated by this post will be paid out to the person that brings in the most new followers. If this person refers more than 5 new followers, I’ll add 1 SBD to the prize pool
50% of the SBD generated by the actual game post will be sent to a randomly chosen new follower.
Recap
Be creative and find new followers for the @newbiegames account.
Send the people that are interested to our special game post. In their comment, they should mention that they were referred by you.
You need to confirm every new referral by making your own entry, starting with a comment that you referred the new follower.
That’s it.
