Alright guys I am home from vacation and I will admit I have been very distracted from everything while away but I am relaxed and motivated so let’s talk a little about what I have noticed about @Partiko before I dive head on back into the #OneLoveDTube community! BTW feel free to use this image it is my photo from the SSI ferry looking over Crofton Mill at sunset taken with my iPhone 6s overlaid with the partiko partnership image, so proud to be a partner I wanted to try add to the media collection.
As their motto says “Together We Can Change The World”, they are out to change the world but also acknowledge that it cannot be done with out everyone’s participation. So far this has been a rewarding adventure in multiple aspects, motivational, interaction, financial, suspense. That’s right I am a @Partiko Partner and I receive votes from @Partiko along with many other perks, that is financial and the motivational to keep posting quality as I now have some image to keep up as a representative and I am rewarded for it. Interaction from the developer @crypto.talk has been a welcomed surprise along with comments from @Partiko also! I have had this discussion about @OneLoveDTube commenting on community members posts, I now know first hand it is a welcomed surprise for the author. The suspense really comes from what is this application going to do next, it seems like anything is really possible with flexibility already being shown.
Features
- Partiko Has In App Points, supposedly hinted at by @crypto.talk able to be cashed in for upvotes in the near future and maybe a few other “perks”. There was betting on the World Cup with your points which allowed many to rack up quite a few! Points are awarded for posting(30), commenting(10), and voting(5) using the Partiko Mobile App.
- Simple Light Weight Design, has everything needed for on the go Steemit interaction. Competitors take much longer to load IMO and often all the extra bells and whistles don’t work correctly anyways.
- Partiko Partnership Program, fairly simple to be apart of just have to engage and help promote the app and community discord. Contest for selection of partners based on interaction and promotion I won second place. Comes with perks such as votes, chance for resteem, direct contact with the developer, role in discord server, possibly more to come?
Updates
Since I started using the app all my suggestions have been answered with further application functionality.
- Image Location, top or bottom with a simple toggle in the compose window.
- Vote Slider with payout amount, great to make sure you give at least a cent.
- Vote Values, you can look at incoming votes and see % and $ value
- Mobile Push Notifications, iOS now has Push Notifications alerting of votes, resteems, and follows. Has a good limit so when receive a swarm of votes it will alert with “recieved xx votes on post name” not giving so many spammy alerts like others.
- Comments Reply, now when replying to comments it is obviously on the comment as it switches to a view of that comment only and you can now scroll and view the comment without closing the typing window.
- Functionality Tweaks, there have been a few minor fixes such as keyboard handling for composing. Fixed the bug which when adding an image to your post it would switch to main feed.
All in all this app is on the right track and developing very quickly. I can remember not long ago @steemcafe stopping into the #OneLoveDTube community discord telling us of its beta release and to sign up to get on board early. So thanks dude for giving me the heads up, it was timed ever so perfectly for it’s release testing and contest while on my vacation. I never really thought I would make Partiko Partner but I suppose the proof is in the pudding, I can do anything if I put my mind to it!
Suggestions
While I have enjoyed the app and in its current state and cannot find and errors or bugs to really speak of I do have further suggestions.
- Multiple Images, I know this will be a little complicated with keeping things simple and lightweight but I am certain something could be done. Even just a simple add image like on Steemit Inc, which only shows the markdown for the image in the body of your post without a preview at all would work.
- Enable DTube Links, currently I have to tap the dots top right goto the steemit post in browser then goto DTube to watch our community’s videos. If I was able to click the image from the Partiko app to open the browser automatically straight to DTube it would save a step. This should work for DSound & Dlive posts also.
- Points Rank, display the leaderboard rank above points in the “me” section. I am curious where I rank overall even though I am not top 20.
- Favourites, probably in the search tab somewhere that will save anything you favourite. Would be able to use as a quick access allowing a simple star on an account, post, comment from any window to save into the favourites area.
- Search History, in the search tab a history of previous searches would also save some typing and chance of forgetting what you searched previously.
So what do I have bad to say about Partiko? Why weren’t you here earlier! 😘
