From the start of this Time readers' poll of the most influential person around the world, President Duterte had been leading by a long margin. I must say that his supporters have been reminding each other in social media to vote. For the reason that WE want to show to the world that we have chosen this man to be our PRESIDENT, with the Philippines as a sovereign country, THE FILIPINOS HAVE CHOSEN.
We might not like the possible write-up by the TIME magazine about him, but we have spoken against all opposition and to the world.
According to the Reuters, since taking office last year in June, President Duterte's aggresive war on drugs have killed more than 8,000 people in the Philippines.
As a Christian country, no one wants any killings of sort, may it be drug-related or homicide. Which statistics have the media taken this more than 8,000 killed? From the country's Vice President? She should know, shouldn't she?
Again, from what resources did she get it from? Even the National Police did not agree to that number. She claimed she got it from the media, but sorry, we Filipinos no longer believe the media.
The World Socialist Web Site (wsws.org) have reported more than 1,800 have been killed by the police and vigilantes since his war on drugs.
If what President Duterte have said is true that 40% of government officials are involved in drugs, then there's a lot cleaning that he have to do. He brought PEACE & ORDER in Davao where he was a mayor before becoming a President, then we want the whole country to have that too.
