Dreaming Big, Working Hard & Growing Fast: We're Expanding Our Steem Charity Project Into New Areas!

There is no harm in repeating a good thing. - Plato

Not at all.

We remember too well that it was @immarojas who asked us at @steemfest 2017 if the concept of 'Dreams of the Ocean' couldn't be repeated multiple times everywhere in the world. @hansikhouse and @voronoi - as representatives of @sndbox - picked up the very same idea in further conversations during the conference. We asked ourselves:

Why not define @dreamsoftheocean as a pilot scheme for a network of Steem backed charitities worldwide?

To all of you who're visiting our blog for the very first time: We're the first Steem backed charity that organizes watersports activities for kids in need.

Well today we've got some excellent news to share: We've just started to roll out the project on another Canary Island, getting in contact with the relevant authorities.

The authorities of Puerto de la Cruz - the main district of the Northern part of Tenerife - love the idea to implement a Dreams of the Ocean on their island. Isn't that freaking awesome?!

@sufermarly's recent radio interviews on the project somehow converted it in a talk of town, and we received both a lot of congratulations and also messages from people who're interested in a cooperation.

The project has no copyright - on the contrary we'd love to see it growing bigger and bigger.

Let's take our baby to the next level - and you can be part of it!

Mission accomplished: So far we've changed the lives of 60 kids forever

Keeping the ball rollin'

Our current project on Lanzarote hasn't even been finished, but we're already dreaming of the next big step.

A friend of us on Tenerife is completely on fire and wants to roll out the project on his island next summer. As we mentioned before: in charity there is nothing more valuable than trustworthy, professional and enthusiastic partners!

Lucky us, that friend has an amazingly good network of local surfers, surf schools, entrepreneurs (that may become potential investors) as well as members of the local authorities. Jackpot! :-)

I've already talked to the decision makers at Puerto de la Cruz - both authorities and business partners - who absolutely love the idea. I'm extremely happy and excited to do something great with you.

Baaaam!

Dreams of the Ocean Lanzarote - represented by @surfermarly - will operate as consultant and advisor, providing the team on Tenerife with the relevant set of information, knowledge and financial support.

Together we gonna rock it!

We all know that great things start with the decisition to try.

Prospects and call for support

As you already know all our doings wouldn't ever be possible without the unrivaled support of the Steem community.

Setting up a project on fundition.io was definitely a game changing decision in that context. The @fundition team has had and is still having a major stake in our success story. During the past two months we were able to raise more than $1,000 USD in Steem funds and donations only via Fundition.

Special thanks to @hightouch, @enisshkurti, @free999enigma and @pennsif for your extraordinary support!

There are few things more valuable than having a great team of supporters by your side.

So..... people out there in the Steem universe: please keep being as generous as in the past, providing our project with some love and support. Any type of contribution or donation to our wallet is highly appreciated.

From now on all earnings will be saved for our next endeavour on Tenerife!

Remember: We're changing lives - with one click at a time 💛

Thanks for your support,

The dreamers
