44,999. I'm sitting here bleary-eyed facing that number plastered right across my laptop screen. The thought never occurred to me that I'd see an amount so huge, it's astonishing. What is it, you ask? Well, It all began earlier this year with a free software download. I'd been sick and tired of my internet experience being interrupted by battery-life killing screen goblins, so I decided to upgrade to the new Brave Browser.
If you care about your online privacy, you should too...

With an entire suite of security settings designed to put you in charge of your anonymity, Brave is off the charts. Choose to block cross-site trackers, scripts and even snooping from social media websites, you get to pick the protection level that works best. That number: 44,999, is the amount of trackers and ads that were blocked online in real-time.

Brave also has it's own token called BAT- the Basic Attention Token. Enable it in settings and earn tokens while you surf. A little box slides out from the lower right of the screen and disappears after a few seconds. These offer you the chance to learn about websites and services you may be interested in. There is also an option to support sites that you love by sending them a tip in BAT tokens. So, if you're into cryptocurrency, privacy and tokens, Brave is the browser you've been waiting for. Uh-oh, there goes another tracker, number 45,000! Download Brave Browser
