One of the most spectacular — and definitely most neglected buildings in the “Park of Bukovička Banja”, is the Old Court (or the Old Edifice), the oldest preseved building in the park and an exemplary work of romanticism in Serbian architecture. It was built by Prince Mihailo Obrenović in 1865, with the intention to use it as the summer residence and the House of Assembly.
Old Court went under reconstruction with the whole park in 1933-1934, but since the post WWII days was completely neglected together with a hotel “Šumadija”, which was a part of the complex. Today, it is a sad sight, but despite everything, it still holds well memory to its glory days…
This is the main Court enterance.
