Isn’t it funny to feel like the real you is back when you haven’t gone anywhere?



Inside of each of us is a multitude of voices and we decide which to listen to and when. But which of the voices are we? And who is it that notices these voices?

In my experience, getting space from the voices in my head causes a kinder happier me. My heart opens allowing an opening for creativity to pour forth.

Peace can be found in the silent stillness in my head. This can be obtained even while not in meditation with practice. The first step for me is to begin to notice the voice with the awareness the voice is not me. Then I ask myself hears the voice, who is listening?

Thoughts appear and then the experience. I only experience those thoughts I give credence to. An example is when we notice something and then even if it could be deemed insignificant we keep thinking of it and worrying about it. We give it the importance that is not even deserved.

If we take the same thought and when it first comes up disregard it. The thought is gone and has no importance. This is a good point to remember before some thought takes hold because in my experience once it does shedding the thought is much harder.

Thoughts are like visitors be careful who you welcome into your home.
