BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST WEEK #017

17.JPG

This photo was taken in southern Norway. The rock the people are standing on, is the Pulpit Rock which is one of the most iconic natural landmarks in Norway. There is a 4 km. trail leading to the top. On top it is almost flat and has a size of 25 x25 meters. This granite monolith rises 604 meters above the Lysefjord. From the top you will have panoramic views of some of Norway's most dramatic landscapes. A few scenes at the end of the last film «Mission Impossible» was filmed here. When I did the hike to the top, it was a rainy day, so the photos actually came out better in black & white, than in colors.
