This photo was taken at a place in northern Argentina, namen El Hornocal. It takes some time to drive the road zig-zaging it's way up to an hight of 4200 m.above sea level. This mountain with layers of different colours is an example of sedimentation of layers, colours formed from a limestone that goes from the ocher, to green, yellow and even white. A process that starting long ago. What we see when we arrive, is this panoramic view.
