This series continues from part 1 where I highlighted the awesome beaches. This one is all about the food and a few of the animals around the resort.

Fruits and Food
So, these are melons and watermelons carved by the staff. They were carved this way in just a few minutes and were doing them regularly for the time we were there. They'd carve it, show it and serve it, then carve another one. Pretty cool how fast they are at making such nice food art! Tasted great too!
More cool melon carvings, a little more elaborate, these ones. All from the melons with just a few toothpics to hold things together.
It wasn't only the fruit, but other interesting art done from food. i don't think ones would be as edible with that glazing finish though.
Hope you like fruit, the fresh picked fruit from the grounds was always available for snacking on and grabbing to take to the beach. It was so delicious and wonderful to have so much awesome tasting fruit.
Animals
There are so many gardens and pools around the result, you seem to just turn a corner and boom, another creature or pool to sit by and enjoy. I really only photographed a few, but there were so many more. Lots of these storks fishing in the ponds.
Of course the flamingo pools were always populated and you'd see them flying in and out of the resort area. Funny birds when they are resting that is for sure.
Just a little gecko, hundreds of these little guys around in the grass and on the trees. They startle you though, when they rip right past you when sitting by a tree or something. Super fast and hard to photograph though.
Most of the pools had turtles in them as well, which were happily munching on left over fruit and lettuce from the guests and kitchen.
There were so many animals we saw, but didn't photograph them all, as often we were in just in a swim suit and sandals, so didn't often have the camera with us. I hope you enjoyed this set, I'll post one more of all the amazing gardens, grounds and pools at the resort next.
