I received a trail camera, (also called a game camera) for Christmas last year. Almost a year later, I finally got it set up in the timber on our property.

After just three days, it returned about 40 photos. I will share the best ones as they come in. Here you will see images of a cottontail rabbit, a red fox, and whitetail deer.

There are a lot of settings on this camera, and as time goes on I will become more familiar with it. Perhaps at that point I can get more clear images.

I would be really excited to catch an image of an elusive cougar (or mountain lion). They are becoming more common here in Iowa, and livestock kills and sightings are on the rise. I will update you as I collect more images in the coming months!
