Yesterday we had a holiday. On May 1st we celebrate INTERNATIONAL WORKER'S DAY and it's a big deal in Croatia. Probably because of our communist history and people's aversion for work. And we meet our friends on May 1st, spend some time out on the fresh air, eat and drink together and have some good time.
Summer approaches, the sea is not for swimming yet.
But we decided to spend our day in Solaris Beach Resort, that's a tourist village 2 kilometers far from my home. In the summer, it is very expensive to stay in one of hotels there, coffee is three times more expensive than in the center of the city.
So yes, we had a very expensive coffee yesterday, but it is not tasty at all.
All because the coffee was so expensive is a pirate ship thematic in the bar. And all about this hotel resort is about pirates and palms in one part of this little peninsula. The other part is all about stones, olives, vine and other beautiful things from Dalmatia.
The coffee is not worthy of it's price at all.
But we had a nice walk and we tried to chase the clouds away. The temperature of sea was 16°C and just few people were in sea. Some ladies showed their breasts to catch the sun. No I didn't take photos of these, my wife would kill me if I did.
In the summer, the capacity of Solaris Beach Resort is for 50 000 tourists, but I like it more in this time of year. No people in hotels and no crowd at all. But did they reduce their prices in this time of year, just for people from the city - NO! The prices are not normal and they are away above our possibilities.
So, if you want to save a lot of money, don't go there, just wait for month or two for beach in front of my home to be finished, much reasonable prices. Thank you!
