Jack Daniel's Distillery Lynchburg, TN March 2017 (lots of photo's)

Our last stop before returning home from our vacation to South Carolina was the Jack Daniel's Distillery in Lynchburg Tennessee!

I like whiskey and Jack Daniel's in particular, so this was kind of my Graceland...

We didn't do the full tour which was around $25 per adult but it was really neat walking thru the little museum they had in the main entrance! We also wouldn't have gotten to sample any whiskey because we had kids with us!!!!!

We parked on the square and walked down to the Distillery!

It's a really neat little town!

My girls in 'The Big Blue Chair'.

The entrance is about a block from downtown Lynchburg across a (at the time) muddy creek. Come to find out later that there is a spring behind the Distillery where all the water for their whiskey comes from!

Jack greets you when you walk in the door!

All 7 of their gold metals are on display!

They show you the whole process of making the whiskey too!

Bottles thru the years!

The walls of the bottle shop were made entirely Jack Daniel's bottles!

I thought it was pretty cool!

This is the bar in the exhibition room.

The kids were getting hungry and we still had to drive for 8 more hours so we headed back to the square!

The 'Jack' Store was pretty cool too!

We had a discussion on the way home of where the 'Old Number 7' came from and come to find out that no one really knows!
I looked on google for about an hour and it was full of theories!

One of them was that it was Jack and 6 of his friends that came up with final Recipe.

Another was that train shipment number '7' never made it to it's destination and so they replaced it with 'Old Number 7'. Telling the recipients it was from the same batch they didn't receive.

There are tons of others!!! Let me know which YOU think it is in the comments!
