Unschooling Blog, Vol. 13: Green Screens, Cont. (How to make a budget green screen with your kids!)

Today my son and I went to the local home center and picked up some large sheets of construction paper for our very own green screen. As I have mentioned before, I am immensely interested in making films and this sort of creativity, so messing with free iOS green screen apps on a Saturday was just the ticket. When dad and kid are interested, the time flies.

Green Screen Test (Isaiah was wearing green pajamas so half of him disappeared).

After this test, we proceeded to make a "full-length" Mario movie, with "Shock Luigi" (our original character). Because we used copyrighted tunes in that clip, YouTube will hassle me if I upload it, but suffice it to say this project was a win and took up about 2 hours.

If you missed the last episode of the Unschooling Blog, and want to know more about the app we used for the green screen, you can check out that post here.

Thanks for watching! Unschool on!
