Today I want to share my baby cat's story with you all. Well, she isn't a baby kitty anymore, but she's still a baby haha. Just slightly over a month ago she turned 5 years old, time flies! Oh yeah, she did eat a lot of tuna and salmon for her birthday, being born in a coastal hero-city of Sevastopol, she loves fish! (Aaaand so do I).
It was the year of 2012 and I just moved in to a new apartment, even though I had two other roommates, I felt like I needed a pet friend, at the time Scottish folds were extremely popular in Crimea, they probably still are, but back then almost every person had one, they were pricey regardless.
It was a nice summer day in Sevastopol, I went to the so called 5th km of Balaklava highway to check out animals on sale, my now husband @matt-a already sent me some money, and I was super excited to get a Scottish fold kitten. My Lenorka, another name for my cat, yes I have about a thousand more haha, so my Lenorka was sitting in a cage with two other kittens, I believe they were Exotic shorthairs. The moment I laid my eyes on her, I knew right away I wanted that one. Of course I had to haggle a little bit with the seller and talk them into going down on the price, luckily they agreed and I rode my bus back home with a tiny baby kitty on my lap.

In the beginning of 2015 me and her had to take 1 bus and 3 planes to get from Kerch, Crimea to Detroit, US. It was tough, I can tell you that much . . . Traveling with pets isn't easy, especially when you have to cross borders, have 10 hour layovers, security checks and what not with a pet on board. It took us about 2-2.5 days I'd say to get to our destination, she did good, even better than I expected, but to be honest with you, I don't think I expected anything at the time, I just knew it was going to suck, however I'd do it again haha.
