Zoo Leipzig [Original Photography]

I find visits to the zoo usually rather depressing. But when I was living in Leipzig, whenever someone would visit me they wanted to see the zoo because of its good reputation. And because I try to be a good host, I agreed to go with them. So this is where I took these pictures. And this zoo really is a beautiful place! They truly make an effort to give their animals good habitats. Some animals who live there you won't even get to see if they're not in the mood for visitors, as their habitats are big enough for them to retreat if they wish to do so.

I've had these pictures sitting on my harddrive so I thought I might as well share them for someone to enjoy.

This is a Kirk's dik-dik, one of the world's smallest antelopes.

This guy was right above our heads, as you can see here:

See the glass ceiling? This is inside the "world's largest indoor rainforest hall at 1.65 ha or 4.1 acres". In this building you have little monkeys jumping through the trees and hummingbirds flying in front of your face.
