Finally, a creature most people dislike even more than snakes!
This certainly isn’t the biggest leech I’ve ever gotten to observe up close, but when one stretches out to about six inches, it is still a good size.
A lot of people despise these blood-suckers, but they do have some benefits. If I remember right, in cases of dismemberment, doctors would even use leeches to such out the old blood from the dismembered part prior to attempting to reattach it.
Whether you like leeches or not, they still can serve a purpose, and they still look interesting up close! Check it out!
